Until the end of term

Hi everyone (who has been complaining about the onsiderable time since the last update) just a quick note (or it will start out as such) to say I am still here, my computer does work (or at least the cluster does) and I will be home on the 16th. At the moment I am currently midway through writing a big assed essay about whether modern scientists still see the ice ages as caused by orbital variations in the earth's movement. I won't say I'm stressed because I'm not, I'm actually loving it! Its pretty much the first time this year I've really got into my course and has inspired me to do lots of reading and make the most of what time I have left here before Christmas.
So yeah Christmas is almost here (bet you hadn't noticed!). It has really crept up this year, even more so than usual. I haven't bought any pressies. Crap!
I recently joined a 5 a side football team, nothing serious, just a bit of fun with some of my mates from my course. Abdul is the one in charge and it seems he's pretty much the only one remotely match fit. I swim 3 times a week so i thought I was fit but after practices on a Wednesday its clear this is not true. Walking the next day is usually pretty painful.
Had a particularly interesting mind altering experience last Saturday morning. I won't elaborate too much but I've never been as scared in my entire life as I was then. I met my parents in the afternoon, we went shopping, had a curry and saw Borat (brilliant btw), it was nice to meet them and spend time with them but my behaviour can't have gone unnoticed. They must have thought I was having an off day, suppose you could say it was.
Have been sober now for almost a month, haven't gone this long without a drink since about April last year (when I was still at School!). This is really disappointing so tomnight I shall try and make up for lost time in style. Yay.
Ok well this essay won't write itself (sadly) so time for a quick farewell.
