Away tomorrow!
Had a nasty experience yesterday. It started when I decided to eat outside in the Uni green, what with it being a nice sunny day and all. Sat there on the bench, tucking into my sandwich, I felt calm and peaceful, and happy. Then, I look to my right and there by the bench is this enourmous squashed rat festering away. Ugh! I hurridly picked up my things and vacated the bench, but as I was leaving, another rat bounced along the path in front of me! Can't say I'm surp[rised, what with the amount of food which gets thrown around in this place, but still, thats pretty gross.
And also a wonderful experience yesterday. It didn't really dawn on me until late on that yesterday was probably the first day of spring. It just seemed like the first time in too long that the sun had come out and it hadn't been freezing. I popped out after my dinner to buy a paper, and noticed that the sky was still bright and the air still warm. I suddenly felt like skipping around and yelping. I didn't, it would have made me look like a complete tool, and I don't want people to know that I am! But still, woohoo, spring is here!
Ok well, I've finished my lectures for the term as well now. The last practical was a drag as well, I was sleepy and couldn't concentrate on the task in hand- geological folding using stereonets. Which was bad as this was one of the hardest mapping tasks yet. So I left to clear my head. I will try to finish the rest after this.
And I still have to pack! Shiiiit! There is a checklist for the essentials, including stuff I haven't seen since freshers week, which will need to be recovered from the jungle of my room. I have to be up outside the union with all my stuff at 9am sharp. I'm meeting up with Emma before, but she warned me that she is often ill on long bus journeys, so I'm not sitting with her!
The trip itself is up to Perth in Scotland. We will be going for 7 days and staying in chalets of four or five. The whole thing cost £45, plus £50 deposit in case we trash it. But the guys I'm with are pretty sensible, so thats unlikely. So yeah should be great. Was told last week that there was terrible snow up there, but hopefully some will have melted by the time we get there.
So yeah, should be fun. Will report back when I return to Manchester, and then after that its off back home woohoo! Ahhh, home sweet home, back to the outstanding natural beauty and cultural wonderland of Cramlington, that paradise of diversity and roundabouts. Ok so Cramlington ain't great, but it will still be great to see the family and everyone else again.
Ok got to go now, got stuff to do! Byeeee!

KILTS!
I didn't see any kilts. This made me very upset.
To make up for it, I ate deep fried haggis from the chip shop. I wish I hadn't.
Mmmmm rat surprise. Surprise.... are you painting a dead rat Lucy? It all makes sense to me now.
You'll see, you'll see. Only time will tell! & MySpace.
